Naturalist and environmental philosopher, John Muir said, "And into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul."  Eco-Therapy is about engaging with the natural world - be it a forest, a river, a field, a frog, a butterfly - and allowing Nature to guide the therapeutic process.

Nature is therapeutic.  Quite often Jon will use the natural environment as a guide for therapy. Engaging with Nature reduces anxiety, relieves depression, provides grounding, increases self-confidence, expands perspectives, heightens awareness, quiets the mind.  Mother Nature offers wisdom to all who spend time with her.

For over 35 years Jon has engaged young people in the healing power of Nature as a wilderness trip facilitator, rock climbing and high ropes instructor, residential camp director, outdoor education instructor, and wilderness therapy practitioner.
