Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is the healing process of psychotherapy with a client who is in the hypnotic altered state of consciousness (i.e. “under hypnosis”).
While experiencing Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy individuals remember what occurs and have complete control over “waking up” at any point. Life-affirming suggestions are offered by the therapist that are intended increase emotional well-being. However, any suggestions may be rejected. The therapist in no way is controlling the mind of the individual experiencing Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy.
Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is a healing intervention. Individuals may become aware of information/memories/beliefs that have been avoided because they are painful or uncomfortable. The goal of Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is to heal from the hurts of life rather than to provide management skills for coping with the hurts of life. The benefits of hypnotherapy are immediate and continue to increase in the weeks that follow a session.
Hypnosis can be an effective way to reduce or resolve physical symptoms of dis-ease and facilitate physical healing. However, it is in no way a replacement for medical treatment.
